Showcase of Creations
This page showcases the projects, research, and creations that I have worked on throughout my experience as an EdTech learner! Many of these works showcase teaching with technology while other creations present various learning theories. Starting my career during the COVID-19 pandemic definitely influenced many of my thoughts and viewpoints below, as well as my personal pedagogy about the importance of building relationships with students! Please enjoy viewing my work as an MAET student.
Teaching with Technology
Teaching with technology combines two very important parts of my life- being a 3rd grade teacher and an MAET student.
This audio essay analyzes my ideas of education, technology, and the COVID-19 pandemic. I started my teaching career during the peak of the pandemic. This offered me a unique perspective on the educational system in the US. This essay showcases my ability to constructively critique practices that I have participated in as an educator and student.

Building with Plus-Plus Blocks
I created this tutorial video to demonstrate how to build and make with plus-plus blocks! I am a firm believer in the Maker Movement and the importance of learning through creating. This video showcases my skills as an educator and demonstrates my ability to incorporate making with technology into my classroom.
Take Time: 5x5 Video Technique
The 5x5 video technique (5 videos, each 5 seconds) is an interesting way to show perspective on sometime with a limited time frame. So often I am rushing through life, trying to get work finished, clean my house, and take care of my pet. This video allowed me to "take time" out of my day and focus on the world around me. This 5x5 technique showcases my skills as a technology creator, having a creative vision and bringing it to life.

Wicked Problem- Teacher Burnout
This multimodal, digital poster, dives into the issues surrounding and leading to teacher burnout. Although I am in the early years of my career, I have experienced levels of "teacher burnout." Instead of letting those negative feelings sour my career, I have researched the causes, effects, and solutions of this "Wicked Problem." This showcases my ability to research a politicized problem and find logical, research-backed solutions to it.
Learning Theories
Part of my personal beliefs as an educator are rooted in the idea that all learners are unique and deserve differentiated education. Learning theories suggest different ways that students learn.
The Unschooling Learning Theory
I created this poster to help educate others on the Unschooling learning theory by John Holt. I believe in the importance of authentic learning experiences, which I explain further into in my blog post "Unschooling and the Maker Movement." This info graph showcases my ability to make connections between different educational concepts and creatively communicate information.

How trauma affects learning and behavior
This powerpoint considers the effects that trauma can have on students' behavior and learning. Many of the students I work with have experienced an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) in their life. I believe that it is our duty as educators to teach with trauma-informed pedagogy. This powerpoint showcases my researching abilities, highlighting my ability to find multimodal resources, and presenting my information in an educational way.

Novice VS Expert
I created this poster to help educate others on what it means to be a "novice" or an "expert" in a domain. This poster highlights the idea of a "schema" and how it can grow and change. This creation showcases my ability to identify barriers and constraints within my research while still promoting these ideas.
